Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how StackSwatch, a product of George Builds Websites, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local or session storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Some cookies are essential: a website cannot work properly without them, so they don't need your consent. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional, and we only use them if you agree.
Cookies on stackswatch.com
Essential cookies (always on)
| Name | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to your StackSwatch account securely. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. | Until you sign out, or up to the session limit |
| ss_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we don't keep asking. | 12 months |
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our marketing website, for example which pages are visited most. Google Analytics only runs, and these cookies are only set, if you click Accept on our cookie banner. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another, so we can count visits | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years |

Cookies on merchants' configurators
When you use a configurator that a business has built with StackSwatch, whether on that business's website or on a StackSwatch link, we do not set any cookies or use any analytics or advertising tracking.
If the business uses gated pricing ("reveal price after inquiry"), we use your browser's session storage to remember the price you unlocked during your visit, so it stays visible if you refresh the page. This is essential for the feature you asked for. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.
If the business has chosen a Google Font for its configurator, your browser downloads it from Google Fonts. Google Fonts does not set cookies, but it does receive your IP address.
The business's own website may use its own cookies, which are covered by that business's cookie policy, not this one.

Changes to this policy
If we start using new cookies, we will update this policy and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
